Reclaiming My Cosmology

I would like to continue with the concept of "Reclaiming my Cosmology" in an on going installation work. Conceptually the installation deals with the relationship between humans and nature. Interwoven is my personal relationship to the natural world as a representative feminine perspective. There is also a subtext celebrating female mythological figures that I have come to know through my research. To enhance and support the content of the installation I have tried to design a space both contemplative and dream like. The installation includes transparent computer prints, film positives, and 3 dimensional objects.

The images included in the installation are of women figures from ancient mythology, close-up and or out of focus transparencies from nature, and close-up and or out of focus female body parts (nothing explicit only suggestive and in fact the images are overlapped and so melded that it is hard to distinguish the plants from the animal which is as intended) and film positive shadows of female figures. The objects have been life-size female figurines, dress forms and natural forms such as plants but in another version I would like to include other symbolic objects.
